Doodle 4 Google Contest Seeking Student Art

Throughout the year, Google releases Google doodles, the fun versions of the Google logo seen on Google’s homepage in celebration of special events and people.  Once a year, Google gives K-12 students across the U.S. the chance to display their own Google doodle through the Doodle 4 Google contest.
The 2013 theme is: “My Best Day Ever.”
Students can submit doodles until March 22, 2013 and Google will announce a winner from every state on May 1st.
In addition to seeing their doodle displayed on Google’s homepage, the winner also receives a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant for their school.  To learn more about entering the contest, go to http://www.google.com/doodle4google/; for a video of Google’s Doodler team giving advice to young artists, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6RWpg7oVgc; for more information and the Google Official Blog, go to http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2013/01/inviting-kids-to-dream-big-doodle-4.html#!/2013/01/inviting-kids-to-dream-big-doodle-4.html.
