"Rise Above" Reception at SCRAP Re:Vision Gallery,

The Dreaming Zebra Foundation & SCRAP are proud to sponsor "Rise Above", an exhibit of artwork and writing to benefit the Rise Above Arts program, and the teens residing at A Safe Place for Youth homeless shelter in Hillsboro, OR.

Dear Friends,
Please join us this Friday for the "Rise Above" opening reception, and show your support for the Rise Above Arts program, and the teens residing at a Safe Place for Youth!

The teens have worked hard to create this compelling art exhibit, using recycled materials, imagination and great heart. Proceeds from the reception will benefit Rise Above, and future art & writing programs for residents of the shelter.

For this group of talented youth, creativity serves as a positive outlet in their often too difficult lives, allowing them to express their struggles, hopes, and dreams.

We hope that you will enjoy this very special exhibit, which is on display through Sept. 31, and take advantage of the opportunity to say hello to some of the artists in person on Friday evening, while enjoying live music and refreshments! We look forward to seeing you then, and thank you as always for your support.

Event: Fancy yourself a surrealist artist? Intrigued by all things Dada? Eager to explore the real roots of punk? Got an affinity for community and collaboration? Art on Alberta will engage Art Spark groupies in some Exquisite Corpse games with curious others. Enjoy turn of the century libations and meet Art on Alberta’s volunteer board members who make up NE Portland’s arts and education nonprofit organization dedicated to wholesome fun.
